BANNER PROGRAM

By now we are sure you have noticed the 46 colorful banners that are being displayed within the district establishing the name Upper Main as a destination point for our consumers. The slogan “Exciting Times” will show the public we are about to embark on major changes to make our district a more shopper friendly environment for all to enjoy.

CLEAN AND GREEN PROGRAM

The Atlantic Maintenance Company has been hired to maintain and keep the district clean. To date Atlantic Maintenance has painted all street furniture, fire hydrants, and parking meter posts, along with power washing any and all graffiti within the district. The maintenance company provided two workers. These workers maintain the planters, sweep the sidewalks empty garbage cans and remove any debris within the district. You may see the staff who wear our uniforms to display our corporate name out on the street on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, between 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M.  Read more....

CO-OP ADVERTISING PROGRAM

Program Overview:
This program is within the Marketing Committee of the Hackensack Upper Main Alliance and is a co-op print advertising program. The concept is to differentiate our district, “Upper Main”, from the rest of Main Street and by all of our advertising members within the district utilizing our advertising shell, we will bring to the attention of the general public that there is a place called “Upper Main”. FACADE & SIGNAGE GRANT PROGRAM

We are proud to introduce the Façade and Signage Grant Program. This program gives commercial property owners and business owners, located within the boundaries of the Upper Main Alliance, the opportunity to revitalize your buildings and storefronts and recover up to one-third of the cost of the project.

All funding will be allocated to the program on an annual basis from the Upper Main Alliance’s budget and divided into three areas, façade, signage and awnings. Applicants will complete a simple application which will be reviewed by our Visual Improvement Committee and funds will be awarded to approved applicants, on a first come first served basis. PARKING LOT PROGRAM

The Upper Main Alliance Parking Lot Committee is proud to announce we have finalized the acquisition of the parking lot on the southeast corner of Berry Street and State Street through a lease agreement with Oritani Savings Bank. The 41 parking spaces will be allocated for FREE SHOPPER PARKING, with a two hour limit restriction, and employee parking for employees of businesses located in the Upper Main Alliance Special Improvement District.  Read more...
